What is EVA geomembrane?
EVA geomembrane is one of the geomembrane series products. The following is a detailed introduction to it:

1. Definition and material
EVA is ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, and EVA geomembrane is a film made of this material. It is usually made of a multi-layer co-extruded film (anti-seepage membrane) and a needle-punched geotextile using a thermal composite process, including different types such as one cloth and one membrane, two cloths and one membrane, and two membranes and one cloth.

2. Product features
Excellent physical properties: EVA geomembrane has good flexibility, flexibility, elasticity, weather resistance, environmental stress cracking resistance and bonding performance, and all mechanical indicators are higher than ordinary polyethylene.
Aging resistance and puncture resistance: The material has strong aging resistance, strong puncture resistance, high friction coefficient and long service life.
Full width and thickness specifications: The common thickness specification is 0.24mm and the width specification is 2.58m, which meets the needs of different projects.
Low temperature resistance: EVA geomembrane can still maintain good flexibility at low temperatures, which is particularly suitable for construction in cold areas.
Excellent processability: EVA geomembrane is easy to process by hot pressing, cutting, gluing, laminating, etc., and is easy to construct.
Other properties: such as water resistance, corrosion resistance (resistance to seawater, grease, acid, alkali and other chemicals), antibacterial, non-toxic, odorless, pollution-free, excellent thermal insulation and low temperature performance, can withstand severe cold and exposure, good sound insulation effect, etc.

3. Main uses
EVA geomembrane is widely used in many fields due to its excellent performance, mainly including:

Environmental protection projects: such as landfills, sewage treatment plants and other waterproof projects.
Water conservancy projects: such as river embankments, lake dams, tailings dams, sewage dams and reservoirs, channels, liquid storage tanks (pits, graves) anti-seepage projects.
Transportation projects: such as anti-seepage of roadbeds and foundations of subways, tunnels, air-raid shelters, roads, railways, etc.
Municipal projects: such as subway projects, underground projects of buildings, etc.
Other projects: such as horizontal anti-seepage covering in front of embankments and dams, vertical anti-seepage layer of foundations, construction cofferdams, waste yards, and seawater and freshwater farms.

4. Construction and laying
The construction and laying of EVA geomembranes are relatively simple, but they also need to follow certain construction specifications. Generally speaking, the base surface needs to be leveled before laying, and then the geomembrane is laid, and the transition layer is laid with materials such as fine sand or clay, and finally the protective layer is constructed. During the laying process, attention should be paid to the welding quality of the geomembrane to ensure the anti-seepage effect at the joints.
